Property Accountant, (On-Site)



  • Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to: account preparation, bank reconciliations, preparation of financial statement analysis, cash receipts entry and reconciliation, rent collection
  • Prepare monthly reporting package including variance commentary
  • Set up leases in JD Edwards
  • Review, approve and generate monthly rent rolls.
  • Prepare various tenant account statements as required
  • Management of tenant A/R, collections and arrears notices
  • Calculate leasing commissions due to Corporate and prepare related
  • Maintain billing activity for new leases, renewals, expansions and additional contracts.
  • Complete credit applications as requested by supplier
  • Prepare and post recurring entries
  • Prepare and post manual accruals resulting from income statement analysis
  • Prepare and record monthly operating costs and tax recovery estimates.
  • Prepare and record monthly FASB/Straight line rent adjustments as required
  • Analyze balance sheet accounts and maintain working papers
  • Assist in the preparation of final annual operating costs and tax recovery adjustments, including preparing CAM audit statements.
  • Prepare required analysis for interim and year-end audits.
  • Assist in completion of the annual property budgets.
  • Assist management in the preparation of various ad hoc reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to the system of internal control established to provide accurate financial reporting and safeguarding of assets.
  • Other duties as requested by management


  • University or College diploma and/or relevant years of experience
  • JD Edwards or other Property Management ERP
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Bilingual (English and French) – asset
